PRESS RELEASE: BLASPHEMOUS ATTACK ON ISLAM, PROPHET MUHAMMED (SAW) AND MUSLIMS BY PASTOR AKINTARO JOSHUA OJO: A THREAT TO UNDAUNTED PEACE IN THE SOUTHWEST/ MADNESS TAKING TOO FAR

The leadership of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria(MSSN) B-Zone has carefully reviewed and monitored the reoccurring unguarded, disgusting and unthinkable blasphemous utterances against the religion of Islam and Prophet Muhammed (SAW) by one Akintaro Joshua Ojo, who claimed to be a pastor from Osun State, Nigeria. 

This disgraceful statement was contained in several audio messages sent across different WhatsApp groups to which the said Akintaro belong, of which five (5) minutes of the recorded audio is currently available on YouTube using this link - https://youtu.be/IcZR96xTgNg.

Barely a  week after the unfortunate extra-judicial killing of Miss Deborah Samuel of the Sheu Shagari College of Education Sokoto, an incident that was strongly condemned by the National President of our society and many well-meaning Nigerians, Mr. Akintaro has decided to use the opportunity to relaunch his long time attack on  Islam and Muslims by releasing audio tapes raining insults on Allah, Islam, the Qur'an, and Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him -SAW), with an audacity that he would keep the blasphemous episodes coming and no one can stop him.  

Undoubtedly, the utterances of Mr. Akintaro are not only inciting but provoking and such statement if not restrained is capable of taking the entire South Western Region into an unexpected, unwarranted, and needless crisis at this critical moment of our Nation. 

In the peaceful nature of our society, we are greatly concerned about the peace and harmonious co-existence enjoyed by Nigerians and we won’t close our eyes to allow those who are hell-bent on wreaking havoc on our dear Nation, do so successfully.
